Reciprocal-scale card hover

cards · hover · motion — trigger: hover a card (or tab to it)

The crop tightens. The photograph never moves.

Hovering scales the frame down to 0.913 × 0.861 and the picture inside up by 1.0953 × 1.1614 — the exact reciprocals. Because the two products are 1, the image stays pixel-identical while its window shrinks, so the card reads as a crop closing in rather than a photo zooming. The caption then rises by a container-relative amount, which keeps the gesture proportional at any card width.
